US Ambassador's visit to GUST

The US Ambassador to Kuwait Deborah K. Jones signed a renewed memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Sunday 26th October, with President of the Gulf University for Science & Technology – Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Muhailan. The agreement deals with the American Corner at the A.M. Al-Refai Library at the University and the facilities it provides to serve the public and the students.

The Ambassador inaugurated the American Corner’s new digital Video Conferencing equipment which will enable the GUST faculty and students to bring experts from the United States and all over the world into their classrooms for live lectures, interactions and discussions. Speaking on behalf of the University, Dr. Al-Muhailan, said: “We would like our students to use such facilities and technology to the advancement of human beings. We would like them to know that they are studying here to make the world better, to communicate and spread abilities and that is what we are looking for.” He further claims that the Ambassador’s visit reflects the great relationship between the United States and Kuwait.
