Library Space

The A. M. Al-Refai Library provides a learning environment for study that allows for seeking information in a comfortable and user-friendly setting. Well-equipped individual study areas are provided on the lower level of the Library for women and upper level for men. Bulletin boards are used in the Library to exhibit notes, internet sites, and announcements to assist Library users in accessing information. There is also a reader's corner for daily newspapers.  Wireless network access is available throughout the Library; there are over 121 computer workstations which can be used to research and access information inside the Library. In addition, network printing facility is available, as well.

American, Chinese, Spanish, African, German, French, Indian, and Japanese Corners
The American, Chinese, Spanish, African, German, French, and Indian Corners are special Library collections in partnership between the Public Affairs Section of the United States, Chinese, Spanish, African, German, French, Indian, and Japanese Embassies in Kuwait, and Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST). The collections consist of books on Art, History, Economics, American studies, English teaching, Politics, Law, Democratic societies and Islam in America. The bibliographic information for this collection can be accessed from the Library catalog. The American Corner also serves as a platform for presentations by visiting American information specialists.

Group Study/ Discussion Rooms
A total of 6 group study/ discussion rooms are available in the Library for use by the GUST students. Three rooms on the ground floor are for women and 3 rooms on the first floor are for men. Each room accommodates up to 6 people. 

Rooms must be booked online by filling the Group Study Booking Form available on the Library website, and a group must have three or more people. For more Information, please refer to the Group Study/Discussion Rooms Reservation Policy.

Library Lab
The Library Lab is used for conducting classes, tests, presentations, and workshops. Faculty members can reserve the Lab: N2-102 which is available on the upper level of the Library, by filing in the Library Lab Booking Form available on the Library website.
