GUST conducts Elsevier Workshop

The A. M. Al-Refai Library organized two workshops on October 24, 2018, in partnership with Elsevier, a global information analytics business. The workshops, which were attended by members of GUST faculty and staff, discussed ways in promoting research for maximum impact, and demonstrated Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature.

Elsevier Customer Consultant, Ms. Ozge Sertdemir, delivered the workshops titled: 1) SCOPUS DATA DEEP DIVE and 2) HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR RESEARCH FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT. Showcasing the features of the Scopus Data Drive system, Ms. Sertdemir explained in-depth the various menus of this tool and how useful the tool was for researchers. She later spoke about different ways of promoting research and specifically highlighted the use of Mendeley and its attributes for maximum impact. All attendees received certificates of attendance upon completion of the workshop.

The Library holds workshops periodically, covering a variety of related and relevant subjects benefitting faculty, staff, and students.
