Graduates who wish to obtain borrowing privileges must register with the library and get an Alumni Library Card. To register with the Library, Alumni must complete the Alumni Membership Form and submit the signed form along with one photograph and a copy of GUST ID to the circulation desk.
Your Alumni Library card allows you to borrow a maximum of 3 books for a period of 15 days. You are accountable for items borrowed on your ID cards.
Books should be returned to the circulation desk on or before the due date. Failure to return books on time will result in a fine. An overdue book will automatically block a user from borrowing other Library items. The Library will send users two overdue notices. Failure to receive an overdue notice does not exempt a borrower from a fine.
a. Overdue Fine
Students are charged a fine of 100 Fils per day, per book (up to a maximum of 15 days) unless the book is returned within the 3-day grace period.
b. Damaged or Lost Items
If a user loses an item, they will be charged the replacement cost of the item, a KD 10/- processing fee and any overdue fines that apply.
